El Eden Import Distributor Corp Recalls Ineligible Pork Cracklings Products Imported from The Republic of Colombia

WASHINGTON, Sept. 09, 2026 , El Eden Import Distributor Corp., a Long Island City, N.Y. firm, is recalling approximately 264 pounds of potato chip products containing chicharrón (pork cracklings) because they were produced in the Republic of Colombia, a country that is not eligible to export meat products to the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The mixed bags of potato chips containing chicharrón were imported on July 28, 2026. The following products are subject to recall [ view labels ]: The products subject to the recall do not bear any import marks on the labels. These items were shipped to a distributor in New Jersey and retail locations in New Jersey and Utah.
