09/10/2026, Evergreen Fresh Sprouts LLC of Moyie Springs, IDAHO is recalling 215 cases (6/4oz bags per case) of Broccoli Sprouts, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella , an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis. The Broccoli Sprouts were delivered to three distributors in WA between 8/24/26 and 9/2/26, and product may have been further distributed and sold in retail stores to consumers in ID, MT, and WA. The affected Broccoli Sprouts were packaged in clear plastic 4oz. Zip lock bags, UPC code 8 38796 00105 1, and have the Use By dates of 9/07/26, 9/09/26, 9/11/26, 9/14/26, and 9/16/26.
